For 2023/2024 the expectations for the revenue were set to increase by up to 5% in comparison to the previous year. The increase of 8% in the revenue is slightly above the expectations previously expressed and is mainly driven by an increase in production costs due to a rise in staff costs. The revenue (commission) is generated on a cost-plus model.</td></tr><tr><td colspan="1">Net result for the year amounted to DKK 71,008 thousand and is slightly above prior year (2022/2023: DKK 61,591 thousand). Our emissions increased by 29.1% across Scope 1, 2, and 3 from our 2020 baseline, as we continue to invest in the infrastructure needed to advance new technologies. And 34 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy assets were contracted, including projects in 21 countries around the world.</td></tr><tr><td colspan="1">⢠Getting water positive, our new datacenters are designed and optimized to support AI workloads and wil consume zero water for cooling.</td></tr><tr><td colspan="1">⢠Achieving zero waste 18,537 metric tons of solid waste were diverted from landfills and incinerators across our own datacenters and campuses around the world. Our reuse and recycle rates of servers and components across all cloud hardware reached 89.4% in 2023.</td></tr><tr><td colspan="1">⢠Preserving ecosystems, the Microsoft Datacenter Community Environmental Sustainability program is responding to local needs in the communities that host Microsoft data centers and where our employees live and work. In 2023, Microsoft funded 22 new projects in 21 locations around the world, leading to over 20,000 urban trees supported and 30,000 square meters of area improved for human and ecological use.</td></tr><tr><td colspan="1">⢠Like all new technologies, Microsoft must ensure that we develop AI ethically and responsibly. For sustainability, this means addressing the resource needs to power this technology. Microsoft requires partners, suppliers, and other representatives to comply with the Anti-Corruption Policy for Microsoft Representatives. We conduct risk-based due diligence and vetting of our representatives. The vetting process now uses data analytics to identify higher risk representatives through an algorithm that calculates a risk score for representatives based on internal and external data attributes. We require that higher risk representatives undergo enhanced vetting allowing us to determine whether they will be permitted to start or renew a business relationship with us. Our partner compliance analytics also provide real-time insights, allowing Microsoft to make more informed compliance and business decisions. Our corruption and bribery risk assessments help drive our decisions and priorities for enhancing controls, processes, and monitoring. Our vetting and transaction monitoring programs are based on sophisticated risk analytics. Further, we maintain a comprehensive, global compliance investigation team, who continuously reviews and investigates concerns reported by employees or third parties through multiple channels, including an anonymous external hotline provider as well as anti-corruption training is required for our partners, suppliers and employees for employees.</td></tr><tr><td colspan="1">At Microsoft, we believe that making good decisions and ethical choices in our work builds trust in each other and with our customers and partners.
