Truck and bus tyres — Methods of measuring tyre rolling circumference — Loaded new tyres |
ISO 9112:2008 specifies two methods for measuring the rolling circumference and the number of revolutions per unit distance (kilometre) of new commercial vehicle tyres, under loaded conditions, for use on trucks and buses.
The first method is a drum method consisting of loading a test tyre mounted on a free axle against a driven road wheel (or drum) of specified diameter. The second method involves a vehicle whose drive axle is equipped with the test tyres driven on a straight, paved road. The values thus obtained are not intended for use as levels of performance or quality.
ISO 9112:2008 applies to all truck and bus tyres.

Truck and bus tyres — Methods of measuring rolling resistance |
Applies to all truck and bus pneumatic tyres. In measuring tyre rolling resistance, it is necessary to measure small forces in the presence of much larger forces. It is, therefore, essential that equipment and instrumentation of appropriate accuracy be used. Annex A gives test equipment tolerances, annexes B and C (informative) describe optional test conditions and measurement methods of moment of inertia.

Passenger car tyres — Verifying tyre capabilities — Laboratory test methods |
ISO 10191:2010 specifies test methods for verifying the capabilities of tyres for passenger cars. Of the test methods presented, it is possible that only some will be required depending on the type of tyre to be tested. The tests are carried out in a laboratory under controlled conditions.
ISO 10191:2010 includes a strength test for assessing the capability of the tyre structure, with respect to braking energy, in the tread area.
A second test, the bead unseating test, assesses the resistance of the tyre to bead unseating. It applies to tubeless tyres only.
A third test, the endurance test, assesses the resistance of the tyre with respect to service at full load and moderate speed over long distances.
The fourth test, the high speed test, assesses the capability of the tyre according to its speed category.
The test methods presented in ISO 10191:2010 are not intended for gradation of tyre performance or quality levels. This International Standard applies to all passenger car tyres.

This document specifies methods for measuring tyre-to-road sound emissions from tyres fitted on a motor vehicle under coast-by conditions, i.e. when the vehicle is in free-rolling, non-powered operation. This is typically achieved by putting the transmission in the neutral or equivalent position and switching off the engine as well as all auxiliary systems not necessary for safe driving.

Motorcycle tyres — Measurement of tyre rolling circumference — Loaded new tyres |
This International Standard specifies a method for measuring the rolling circumference and revolutions per unit
distance (kilometre) for new tyres, under loaded conditions, made for use on motorcycles and mopeds. The values
obtained according to this method are not intended for use as levels of performance or quality.
This International Standard is applicable to all motorcycle and moped tyres designed and intended for use on the
road.
NOTE Since most speedometers and odometers on motorcycles are activated from the front wheel, the test tyres will largely fall
into sizes applicable for front wheel use. However, it is accepted that rear tyres will also be measured.

The following are within the scope of this document:
— the description of the various types of SUSE;
— the description and performance levels of complete SUSE systems.
NOTE 3 The performance level that the user reasonably has the right to expect, as well as the restrictive conditions placed upon that level, can vary to a large degree depending on the equipment installed and on the real operating conditions of the tyre in flat-tyre running mode.
The following are outside the scope of this document:

Tyre stiffness index testing procedure for passenger car extended mobility and run flat tyres |
ISO 19940:2017 specifies the testing method for determining the tyre stiffness index of passenger car tyres for the products capable of supplying the vehicle with the basic tyre functions, at least, at a speed of 80 km/h (50 mph) and a distance of 80 km when operating in flat tyre running mode, as per ISO 16992.
This method is meant to determine the above mentioned index, for the characterization of the expected tyre's stiffness through its air and structural components.
To reach the target, the vertical force and the vertical deflection, in the sense of absolute position in Z direction under different operating conditions, are measured (approximated in case of zero inflation pressure) and combined through the metrics defined in this document.
This method is not intended to be used for conventional tyres.

Motorcycles — Engine test code — Net power |
Specifies a method for testing engines as defined in ISO 3833:1977. Applies to the evaluation of their performance with a view, in particular, to presenting curves of power and specific fuel consumption at full load as a function of engine rotational speed. Concerns internal combustion engines used for propulsion of motorcycles and included in one of the following categories: reciprocating internal combustion engines (spark-ignition) but excluding free piston engines, or rotary piston engines.
