ISO 8442-5:2004 Materials and articles in contact with foodstuffs — Cutlery and table holloware — Part 5: Specification for sharpness and edge retention test of cutlery ISO 8442-5:2004 specifies the sharpness and edge retention of knives which are produced for professional and domestic use in the preparation of food of all kinds, specifically those knives intended for hand use. Powered blade instruments of any kind are excluded. Generally these types of knife are manufactured with blades of either plain edge design or with edges incorporating particular features to enhance or optimize aspects of cutting ability. The following two types of knife blade are suitable for the cutting test. Type A edges: cutting edges which can be resharpened by the user and edges with a pitch greater than 1mm;Type B edges: cutting edges which are not intended to be resharpened on a steel. Whilst these knives are predominantly manufactured with blades made from various grades of heat treated steels, the testing of knives of any construction or blade material is not precluded providing that the test criteria are met. ISO 14285:2014 Rubber and plastics gloves for food services — Limits for extractable substances ISO 14285:2014 specifies limits for extractable chemical substances for single-use gloves made from natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or plastic materials that are intended for use in food preparation, food handling, and related application in food service industry. ISO 14285:2014 does not cover the specification for extractable biological substances and physical requirements of the gloves. It is not applicable to gloves used under extreme conditions such as those having pH less than 4,5 and/or temperature above 40 °C. ISO 22042:2021 Blast chiller and freezer cabinets for professional use — Classification, requirements and test conditions This document specifies the requirements for the verification of performance and energy consumption of blast cabinets for professional use in commercial kitchens, hospitals, canteens, institutional catering and similar professional areas. The appliances covered by this document are intended to rapidly cool down hot foodstuffs up to a load capacity of 300 kg. This document applies to: —    blast chillers; —    blast freezers; —    multi-use blast chillers/freezers.
