ISO 15227:2000 Optics and optical instruments — Microscopes — Testing of stereomicroscopes This International Standard specifies test conditions and recommended test methods to ensure the minimum requirements for stereomicroscopes. ISO 15632:2002 Microbeam analysis — Instrumental specification for energy dispersive X-ray spectrometers with semiconductor detectors ISO 15632 defines the most important quantities that characterize an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS) consisting of a semiconductor detector, a pre-amplifier and a signal processing unit as the essential parts. This International Standard is only applicable to spectrometers with semiconductor detectors operating on the principle of solid state ionization. It specifies minimum requirements for such spectrometers attached to an electron probe microanalyser (EPMA) or a scanning electron microscope (SEM). ISO 19056-1:2015 Microscopes — Definition and measurement of illumination properties — Part 1: Image brightness and uniformity in bright field microscopy ISO 19056-1:2015 specifies procedures for the measurement of image brightness and uniformity for bright field light microscopy. These measurements for image brightness and uniformity are defined in image planes or intermediate image planes only, when these planes are suitable for detection by electronic imaging devices. ISO 19056-1:2015 defines how image brightness and uniformity are measured and how this information is provided to the user. NOTE The scope is intentionally limited to electronic imaging devices and (intermediate) image planes. The visual observation by means of eyepieces would require a different measurement procedure and hence result in unambiguities in the description of measurement procedures. The measurement for uniformity is defined in image planes or intermediate image planes only, when these planes are suitable for detection by electronic imaging devices. This document defines how illumination brightness, temporal stability and uniformity are measured, and how this information is provided to the user. ISO 20263:2017 Microbeam analysis — Analytical electron microscopy — Method for the determination of interface position in the cross-sectional image of the layered materials ISO 20263:2017 specifies a procedure for the determination of averaged interface position between two different layered materials recorded in the cross-sectional image of the multi-layered materials. It is not intended to determine the simulated interface of the multi-layered materials expected through the multi-slice simulation (MSS) method. This document is applicable to the cross-sectional images of the multi-layered materials recorded by using a transmission electron microscope (TEM) or a scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) and the cross-sectional elemental mapping images by using an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS) or an electron energy loss spectrometer (EELS). ISO 20711:2017 Optics and photonics — Environmental requirements — Test requirements for telescopic systems ISO 20711:2017 specifies requirements to be met with regard to resistance of the optical, mechanical, chemical and electrical properties or performance data of instruments to environmental influences and hence determines geographical and technical areas of application. It applies to consumer telescopic systems and accessories, such as hunting and sporting products. Environmental test methods as specified in relevant parts of ISO 9022 are assigned to the various areas of application for the purpose of ascertaining the suitability of the instruments in their respective area of application. ISO 20711:2017 is the basis for the specification of environmental requirements and environmental tests in instrument standards. If necessary, these requirements and tests can be amended in the instrument standards. ISO 20711:2017 does not deal with the requirements to be met by the packaging of the instrument during transport from the manufacturer to the user. ISO 8980-3:2022 Ophthalmic optics — Uncut finished spectacle lenses — Part 3: Transmittance specifications and test methods This document specifies requirements for the transmittance properties of uncut and unmounted finished spectacle lenses, including attenuation of solar radiation. This document is not applicable to —    spectacle lenses having specific transmittance or absorption characteristics prescribed for medical reasons, —    products to which specific personal protective equipment transmittance standards apply, and —    products intended for direct observation of the sun, such as for solar-eclipse viewing. NOTE 1    By reference to ISO 21987 and ISO 14889, this document also applies to lenses mounted in spectacles.
