Industrial trucks — Verification of stability — Part 20: Additional stability test for trucks operating in the special condition of offset load, offset by utilization |
ISO 22915 deals with the safety of industrial trucks, as defined in ISO 5053, relative to their stability and the verification of that stability. For the purposes of ISO 22915, industrial trucks are wheeled, self‑propelled or pedestrian‑propelled vehicles, excepting those running on rails. They are either operator‑controlled or driverless and designed to carry, tow, push, lift, stack or tier in racks.
ISO 22915-20:2008 specifies an additional test for verifying the stability of a laden truck specifies an additional test for verifying the stability of a laden truck whose utilization creates the special operating condition whereby the load centre of gravity is substantially offset from the truck's longitudinal centre plane. It is applicable to the following types of truck: It is applicable to the following types of truck: counterbalanced trucks; reach (retractable mast or forks) and straddle trucks; pallet stackers; bi‑directional and multi‑directional (retractable mast or forks) trucks; rough-terrain variable reach trucks; counterbalanced trucks fitted with articulated steering; variable reach trucks; rough terrain trucks with mast.
A load is considered to be substantially offset if displaced by more than 100 mm, for a truck with a rated capacity less than 5 000 kg, 150 mm, for a truck with a rated capacity greater than or equal to 5 000 kg and less than or equal to 10 000 kg, 250 mm, for a truck with a rated capacity greater than 10 000 kg and less than 20 000 kg, 350 mm, for a truck with a rated capacity greater than or equal to 20 000 kg.

This part of ISO 11520 specifies additional procedures and gives guidance for testing and evaluating the drying
performance of continuous-flow and batch grain driers for specific grain crops including wheat, barley, oats, maize,
rice, sorghum and rape. It supplements the general procedures given in ISO 11520-1 based on drying only wheat
over the limited range of moisture content of 20 % to 15 % wet basis.
Methods and data are given for
a) determining the evaporation rate of driers when drying grain crops under steady state conditions, and
b) correcting the main drier performance characteristics, including evaporation rate, grain flow rate, drying time
and specific energy and fuel consumption, to reference and other ambient conditions.
Procedures are specified for sampling input and output grain to assess changes in grain quality.

It is applicable to the following earth-moving machinery, operating on work sites or in mining, or travelling on public roads: self-propelled, rubber-tyred earth-moving machines, as defined in ISO 6165; self-propelled rollers and landfill compactors, as defined in ISO 6165 and ISO 8811; self-propelled scrapers, as defined in ISO 7133; remote-control machines, as defined in ISO 6165, wheeled or rubber-tracked; derivative earth-moving machines with rubber tyres; earth-moving machines with rubber tracks and a maximum machine speed greater than or equal to 20 km/h.
It is not applicable to pedestrian-controlled earth-moving machinery (see ISO 17063) or crawler earth-moving machines with steel or rubber tracks that travel at less than 20 km/h (see ISO 10265). While purpose-built underground mining machines are not within the scope of ISO 3450:2011, its provisions can generally be applied to those machines with some braking performance modifications and additions, given in an annex.

ISO 5006:2017 specifies a static test method for determining and evaluating the operator's field of view on a rectangular boundary around the machine and on a 12 m visibility test circle (VTC).
It is applicable to the earth-moving machines as defined in ISO 6165 that have a seated operator, and which are intended to operate on work sites and travel on public roads. It provides visibility performance criteria for machines up to the maximum operating mass according to ISO 6016, depending on the type of machine family listed in Table 1. For those machines not listed ? including larger machines, derivative and other types of earth-moving machinery ? the visibility test procedures can be used along with the risk assessment process defined in 10.4.
