It is applicable to digital printing devices, including single function printing and multi-function devices, regardless of print technology (e.g. inkjet, laser). Devices can be equipped with a range of paper feed and finishing options either directly connected to the computer system or via a network. It is intended to be used for black and white (B&W) as well as colour digital printing devices. It allows for the comparison of the productivity of machines operating in various available modes (simplex, duplex, size of substrates, etc.) and office applications when the test system environment, operating modes, and job mix for each machine are held identical. ISO/IEC 24734:2009 includes test files, test setup procedure, test runtime procedure, and the reporting requirements for the digital printing productivity measurements. It is not intended to be used for devices which are not able to print on a media size of A4/8.5”x11” or for devices which are not able to collate multiple copies of a print.  Withdrawn 2009-03 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 44 Technical Committee 37.100.10 Reproduction equipment
ISO/IEC 24734:2014 Information technology — Office equipment — Method for measuring digital printing productivity ISO/IEC 24734:2014 specifies a method for measuring the productivity of digital printing devices with various office applications and print job characteristics. It is applicable to digital printing devices, including single-function and multi-function devices, regardless of print technology (e.g. inkjet, laser). Devices can be equipped with a range of paper feed and finishing options either directly connected to the computer system or via a network. ISO/IEC 24734:2014 is not intended to be used for devices which are not able to print on a media size of A4/8.5"x11" or for devices, which are not able to collate multiple copies of a print. ISO/IEC 24734:2014 is not intended to replace a manufacturer's rated speeds. The productivity of a digital printing device depends on factors other than the printing device itself. These include, but are not limited to, computer manufacturer and model, central processor type and speed, RAM and hard disk memory capacity and speed, software driver, version of the application being used, operating system, and the type and speed of the communication path from computer to printing device, etc. Because of this, in order to make useful and accurate direct comparisons of printing productivity with ISO/IEC 24734:2014, the same computer system hardware and software have to be used for measuring the printing devices, if, for the purpose of being directly compared one to another. For every printing productivity measurement, the basic specifications of the computer hardware and software have to be included with the results of the printing productivity measurement.  Withdrawn 2014-07 Edition : 2 Number of pages : 50 Technical Committee 37.100.10 Reproduction equipment

ISO/IEC 28360-1:2021 Information technology — Determination of chemical emission rates from electronic equipment — Part 1: Using consumables This document (all parts) specifies methods to determine chemical emission rates of analytes from ICT & CE equipment during intended operation in an Emission Test Chamber (ETC). This document (all parts) includes specific methods for equipment using consumables, such as printers, and equipment not using consumables, such as monitors and PC’s. Part 1 specifies the methods to determine the emission rates of VOC and carbonyl compounds, ozone, particulate matter, fine particles (FP) and ultra-fine particles (UFP) from electronic equipment using consumables. The methods comprise preparation, sampling (or monitoring) in a controlled ETC, storage and analysis, calculation and reporting of emission rates. Part 1 has two different methods for the determination of emission rates of VOC and carbonyl compounds. The two methods use two different emission models, the quasi-equilibrium model (QEM) and the constant emission model (CEM) respectively, to determine the emission rates of VOC and carbonyl compounds during the pre-operating phase. The quasi-equilibrium model method has been developed with hard copy devices for office or home use in mind whose energy-saving modes automatically activate during most intervals between operations. The calculation of emission rates during the pre-operating phase is based on the quasi-equilibrium assumption as shown in Annex C. The emission rates determined with this method can be used to compare equipment in the same class since test procedures are specified more narrowly than the other method (CEM). The constant emission model (CEM) has been developed for hard copy devices whose energy-saving modes have such a negligible effect on the determination of emission rates of VOC and carbonyl compounds that the generalised constant emission model shown in Annex D can be used for the determination of their emission rates during the pre-operating phase. This method presents more flexible test procedures than the QEM. Due to such features of this method, it may be used for hard copy devices whose idling mode usually lasts throughout intervals between operations, such as large hard copy devices used professionally. It may also be used for various equipment having different functions and structure for its intended use and the determination of carbonyl compounds requiring longer sampling duration due to a lack of sensitivity. Annex A specifies monochrome and colour print patterns for use in the operating phase of EUT using consumables. The operational readiness of AMS is confirmed according to Annex B. Predictions of “real indoor” concentrations from the determined emission rates are outside the scope of this document.  Published 2021-10 Edition : 2 Number of pages : 54 Technical Committee 37.100.10 Reproduction equipment

ISO/IEC 29102:2011 Information technology — Office equipment — Method for the determination of ink cartridge photo yield for colour printing with inkjet printers and multi-function devices that contain inkjet printer components ISO/IEC 29102:2011 provides a method to determine the ink cartridge photo yield of ink-containing cartridges (i.e. integrated ink cartridges and ink cartridges without integrated print heads) for colour photo printing with colour inkjet printers and multi-function devices that contain inkjet printer components. Ink cartridge yields determined on one printer model, paper and cartridge configuration are not applicable to another printer model or cartridge configuration even if the ink jet cartridges used in testing are the same. It prescribes the following: the test method that manufacturers, test labs, etc. use to determine ink cartridge photo yield; the method for determination of declared photo yield values from the test results; and the appropriate method of describing the photo yield of cartridges in documentation supplied to the consumer by the manufacturer.  Withdrawn 2011-08 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 27 Technical Committee 37.100.10 Reproduction equipment
ISO/IEC 29102:2015 Information technology — Office equipment — Method for the determination of ink cartridge photo yield for colour printing with inkjet printers and multi-function devices that contain inkjet printer components ISO/IEC 29102:2015 is to provide a method to determine the ink cartridge photo yield of ink-containing cartridges (i.e. integrated ink cartridges and ink cartridges without integrated printheads) for colour photo printing with colour inkjet printers and multifunction devices that contain inkjet printer components. In the case where a cartridge set can be used in multiple printer models, only one yield test needs to be performed as long as the difference between printer models does not impact yield. NOTE A cartridge supplier may choose to use more than one market identifier for a single physical cartridge. In this case only one yield test is required as long as there are no differences in the cartridges other than market identifiers. ISO/IEC 29102:2015 prescribes the following: - the test method that manufacturers, test laboratories, etc. use to determine ink cartridge photo yield; - the method for determination of declared photo yield values from the test results; and - the appropriate method of describing the photo yield of cartridges in documentation supplied to the consumer by the manufacturer. ISO/IEC 29102:2015 is only intended for the determination of ink cartridge photo yield. No other claims can be made from this testing regarding quality, reliability, etc. ISO/IEC 29102:2015 can be used to determine the yield of any cartridge that is used during the printing of the photo test file defined in ISO/IEC 29103. ISO/IEC 29102:2015 is not for use with printers whose minimum printable size is equal to or greater than A3. This International Standard is not intended to measure the yield of photo printing on paper size larger than 4×6, L or A6. In addition, this International Standard is not for use with industrial printers or point of sale printers. It only applies to desktop printing systems.  Published 2015-08 Edition : 2 Number of pages : 26 Technical Committee 37.100.10 Reproduction equipment
