ISO 21006:2006 Internal combustion engines — Engine weight (mass) declaration ISO 21006:2006 specifies how to make a declaration of the engine weight (mass) for internal combustion engines. For the purposes of this standard, the word weight is used as the direct equivalent of the word mass. ISO 21006:2006 concerns reciprocating internal combustion engines (spark-ignition or compression ignition engines) but excluding free piston engines, and rotary piston engines. NOTE These engines may be naturally aspirated or pressure-charged, either by a mechanical pressure-charger or a turbocharger. ISO 21006:2006 applies to engines for land, rail-traction and marine use, the propulsion of automotive vehicles, propelling (or powering) non-road mobile machinery, motorcycles, the propulsion of agricultural tractors and machines, the propulsion of earth-moving machinery as defined in ISO 6165, and the propulsion of recreational or other small marine craft of full length up to 24 m . In addition, ISO 21006:2006 may be applied to engines used to propel road-construction machines, industrial trucks and for other applications where no suitable International Standard for these engines exists.  Published 2006-05 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 5 Technical Committee 27.020 Internal combustion engines
ISO/TS 23556:2007 Performance test method for diesel engine soot-removal devices in lubricating oils — Initial filtration efficiency ISO/TS 23556:2007 specifies a multipass soot-filtration test method using batch thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), continuous online Fourier Transformation Infrared (FTIR), or other approved soot-measuring techniques for evaluating the initial filtration efficiency of single-stage, multiple-stage, centrifugal and other soot-removal devices (SRD) for internal combustion engines submitted to a constant flow rate of test liquid. The test procedure determines time-weighted average initial soot-removal efficiency for soot-removal devices. This test method is intended for application to SRD having a rated flow between 0,5 l/min and 75 l/min.  Withdrawn 2007-03 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 13 Technical Committee 27.020 Internal combustion engines

ISO 19940:2017 Tyre stiffness index testing procedure for passenger car extended mobility and run flat tyres ISO 19940:2017 specifies the testing method for determining the tyre stiffness index of passenger car tyres for the products capable of supplying the vehicle with the basic tyre functions, at least, at a speed of 80 km/h (50 mph) and a distance of 80 km when operating in flat tyre running mode, as per ISO 16992. This method is meant to determine the above mentioned index, for the characterization of the expected tyre's stiffness through its air and structural components. To reach the target, the vertical force and the vertical deflection, in the sense of absolute position in Z direction under different operating conditions, are measured (approximated in case of zero inflation pressure) and combined through the metrics defined in this document. This method is not intended to be used for conventional tyres.  Published 2017-11 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 13 Technical Committee 83.160.10 Road vehicle tyres
ISO 20908:2023 Tyre sound emission test — Methods of drum This document specifies methods for measuring tyre-to-road sound emissions from tyres fitted on rig that applies the tyre on a rotating drum under coast-by conditions (i.e. when the tyre is in free‑rolling, non‑powered operation). The specifications are intended to achieve a correlation between results of testing the exterior noise of tyres in a semi anechoic chamber and outdoor testing as described in ISO 13325. This document is applicable to passenger cars and light commercial vehicles tyres as defined in 3.1. It is not intended to be used to determine the sound contribution of tyres applying a torque, nor for the determination of traffic sound nuisance at a given location.  Published 2023-01 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 38 Technical Committee 17.140.30 Noise emitted by means of transport ; 83.160.10 Road vehicle tyres
ISO 21750:2006 Road vehicles — Safety enhancement in conjunction with tyre inflation pressure monitoring ISO 21750:2006 deals with electronic Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) for tubeless tyres in association or not with an Extended Mobility System with a reference pressure lower or equal to 375 kPa fitted in single formation on four wheeled vehicles. The systems are able to survey all tyres in use, but not necessarily those in temporary use, and provide information to the driver. ISO 21750:2006 establishes overall performance guidelines for the systems and their components, independently of the physical principles and the technological solution which have been selected to monitor the tyre pressure to compute the difference to the requested level and to deliver a relevant information to the driver if the pressure of one, several or all tyres need corrective action for the intended service conditions.  Published 2006-03 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 18 Technical Committee 43.040.80 Crash protection and restraint systems ; 83.160.10 Road vehicle tyres
