ISO/DIS 12808 Hardware for furniture — Strength and durability of extension elements and their components This document specifies test methods and requirements for the strength and durability of all types of extension elements and their components for all fields of application, except table extensions. The tests consist of the application of loads, forces and velocities simulating normal functional use, as well as misuse, that might reasonably be expected to occur. With the exception of the corrosion test in 6.4, the tests are designed to evaluate properties without regard to materials, design/construction or manufacturing processes. The strength and durability tests only relate to the extension elements and the parts used for the attachement, e.g. screws. The strength and durability tests are carried out in a test frame with specified properties. The test results can only be used as a guide to the performance of a piece of furniture. The test results are only valid for the extension element tested. These results may be used to represent the performance of production models provided that the tested model is representative of the production model. Ageing and influences of heat and humidity are not included.  Under development Edition : 1 Number of pages : 17 Technical Committee 97.140 Furniture

ISO 19833:2018 Furniture — Beds — Test methods for the determination of stability, strength and durability ISO 19833:2018 specifies test methods for determining the stability, strength and durability of all types of fully assembled beds including bed frames and bed bases. ISO 19833:2018 applies to adult beds for domestic and non-domestic use. It does not apply to waterbeds, airbeds, foldaway beds, bunk beds and beds for people with special needs, nor to beds for healthcare and medical purposes. Test methods for the assessment of ageing, degradation, fire resistance and electrical functions are not included in this document. Other methods for the strength and durability of storage components, seating surfaces and other features associated with beds are covered by other standards. Where a bed incorporates additional functions such as storage, electrical adjustability or conversion from a sofa to a bed, additional tests are applicable. ISO 19833:2018 does not specify requirements for the choice of loads, cycles or forces. These can be specified in a requirements document. If this is not available, suggested loads and cycles can be found in Annex A (informative). The tests are not intended to assess the durability of upholstery, e.g. filling materials and covers.  Published 2018-03 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 23 Technical Committee 97.140 Furniture
ISO 21015:2007 Office furniture — Office work chairs — Test methods for the determination of stability, strength and durability ISO 21015:2007 specifies test methods for determining the stability, strength and durability of office work chairs. Guidance is given on the choice of forces, cycles, etc., for these tests. The tests are designed to be applied to an article of furniture that is fully assembled and ready for use. The dimensions in the tests are applicable to office work chairs intended for adult persons. The tests consist of the application, to various parts of the item, of forces simulating normal functional use, as well as misuse that can reasonably be expected to occur. The tests are designed to evaluate properties without regard to materials, design/construction or manufacturing processes. The test results are valid only for the article tested. When the test results are intended to be applied to other similar articles, it is important that the test specimen be representative of the production model. Tests carried out according to ISO 21015:2007 are intended to demonstrate the ability of the item to give satisfactory service in its intended environment. The tests have been developed for units/components that have not been in use. However, when properly justified, they can be used for fault investigation. Data are given for the design of seat loading pads and for the design of stability loading pad. ISO 21015:2007 does not give any product requirements. These can be specified in a requirements document. If this is not available, possible forces and cycles are suggested. These forces and cycles can be used for adults regardless of their weight and number of working hours. ISO 21015:2007 does not specify type approval tests for chair components. Assessment of ageing and degradation is not included. The tests are not intended to assess the durability of upholstery, i.e. filling materials and covers.  Published 2007-06 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 27 Technical Committee 97.140 Furniture
ISO/TR 10361:1990 Textile floor coverings — Production of changes in appearance by means of Vettermann drum and hexapod tumbler testers  Withdrawn 1990-11 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 5 Technical Committee 97.150 Floor coverings
ISO 21016:2007 Office furniture — Tables and desks — Test methods for the determination of stability, strength and durability ISO 21016:2007 specifies test methods for the determination of the stability, the strength and the durability of all types of office tables designed for use in the seated and/or standing position, e.g. work tables, height-adjustable tables, meeting tables and desks. It applies to tables that are fully assembled and ready for use. ISO 21016:2007 does not contain test methods for storage elements, which can be found in ISO 7170. The tests consist of the application, to various parts of the unit, of loads, forces and velocities simulating normal functional use, as well as misuse, that can reasonably be expected to occur. With the exception of the deflection of table tops, the tests are designed to evaluate properties without regard to materials, design/construction or manufacturing processes. The test results are valid only for the unit/component tested. These results can be used to represent the performance of production models provided that the tested model is representative of the production model. Tests carried out according to ISO 21016:2007 are intended to demonstrate the ability of the item to give satisfactory service in its intended environment. It is necessary to understand that such tests do not ensure that structural failure will not eventually occur as a result of habitual misuse or after an excessively long period of service. The tests have been developed for units/components that have not been in use. However, when properly justified, they can be used for fault investigation. ISO 21016:2007 specifies test methods only. ISO 21016:2007 does not specify requirements. These should be specified in a requirements document. If this is not available, suggested forces and cycles are included in ISO 21016:2007. ISO 21016:2007 does not include an assessment of ageing or degradation.  Published 2007-07 Edition : 1 Number of pages : 16 Technical Committee 97.140 Furniture

ISO 6356:2012 Textile and laminate floor coverings — Assessment of static electrical propensity — Walking test ISO 6356:2012 specifies a method of evaluating the electrostatic propensity of textile and laminate floor coverings under controlled conditions. Since the potential generated varies with humidity, shoe materials, walk surface and individuals' mannerisms, the values generated by this test will not necessarily duplicate actual field experience, but will provide a relative comparison of the performance of different surfaces. For classification purposes and in cases of dispute, the measurement procedure specified in ISO 6356:2012 can be used under controlled conditions specified in the relevant classification standard or agreed between disputing parties. There may be occasions where measurements are required under non-controlled conditions, e.g. in situ measurements on installed floor coverings. The principle of measurement using the equipment specified in ISO 6356:2012 can be used to make measurements, either with the standard footwear specified or with specific footwear relevant to the end use.  Published 2012-07 Edition : 2 Number of pages : 17 Technical Committee 97.150 Floor coverings

ISO 9239-1:2010 Reaction to fire tests for floorings — Part 1: Determination of the burning behaviour using a radiant heat source ISO 9239-1:2010 specifies a method for assessing the wind-opposed burning behaviour and spread of flame of horizontally mounted floorings exposed to a heat flux radiant gradient in a test chamber, when ignited with pilot flames. This method is applicable to all types of flooring. e.g. textile carpet, cork, wood, rubber and plastics coverings as well as coatings. Results obtained by this method reflect the performance of the flooring, including any substrate if used. Modifications of the backing, bonding to a substrate, underlay or other changes of the flooring may affect test results. ISO 9239-1:2010 is applicable to the measurement and description of the properties of floorings in response to heat and flame under controlled laboratory conditions. It should not be used alone to describe or appraise the fire hazard or fire risk of floorings under actual fire conditions.  Published 2010-06 Edition : 3 Number of pages : 25 Technical Committee 97.150 Floor coverings ; 13.220.40 Ignitability and burning behaviour of materials and products
