Technical product documentation — Organization and naming of layers for CAD — Part 1: Overview and principles |
ISO 13567-1:2017 establishes the general principles of layer structuring within CAD files. Layers are used to control visibility and to manage and communicate CAD file data. Layer names are used to represent this structure.
The principles are applicable to all parties involved in preparing and using technical documentation on computer systems. Although these principles are primarily for users, CAD system developers are expected to provide software tools capable of implementing and supporting ISO 13567-1:2017. An important use is also to structure data in component libraries produced by third parties.

ISO 16792:2015 specifies requirements for the preparation, revision, and presentation of digital product definition data, hereafter referred to as data sets. It supports two methods of application: model-only and model and drawing in digital format. Its structure presents requirements common to both methods followed by clauses providing for any essential, differing requirements for each method. Additionally, its use in conjunction with computer-aided design (CAD) systems could assist in the progression towards improved modelling and annotation practices for CAD and engineering disciplines, as well as serving as a guideline for IT engineers.
The aspects specified in this International Standard refer mainly, but not exclusively, to requirements that differ or are additional to those provided in existing, related standards. Where no such requirements are identified, it is safe to assume that the appropriate existing ISO standards are instead applicable.

Technical product documentation — Digital product definition data practices |
This document specifies requirements for the preparation, revision and presentation of digital product definition data, hereafter referred to as data sets, complementing existing standards. It supports two methods of application: 3D model-only and 3D model with 2D drawing in digital format. The structure of this document presents requirements common to both methods followed by clauses providing for any essential, differing requirements for each method. Additionally, its use in conjunction with computer-aided design (CAD) systems can assist in the progression towards improved modelling and annotation practices for CAD and engineering disciplines, as well as serving as a guideline for CAx software developers.
The actual definitions for the interpretation, in particular the ISO TPD and ISO GPS rules, are taken from the original definition standards, e.g. ISO 129-1 and ISO 1101.
When the term model is used in this document it applies to both design models and annotated models.

Technical product documentation — Life cycle model and allocation of documents |
This International Standard gives a method of establishing a flexible life cycle model and gives guidance on efficient
and easy-to-understand handling technical documents during the product life cycle. The product life cycle takes
different company-specific requirements into account, in accordance with project management techniques. For
general use in connection with non-company-specific requirements, procedures, processes and products, it may be
necessary to establish a standardized life-cycle model with defined phases.
This International Standard is intended for use in companies, bodies of authority and other organizations who deal
with manufactured products, with the compilation and use of technical documents during the product life cycle. It is
not applicable either to services or software.
This International Standard is intended to be an aid in controlling and coordinating documents, in accordance with
ISO 9001, ISO 9002, and ISO 9003.

This part of IEC 81714 specifies requirements concerning the classification of connect nodes assigned to graphical symbols, being a representation of functional and product concepts. Due to the strong interrelation between the product and its corresponding graphical representation, identical classification principles are applied for both the classification of connect nodes of products as well as for the classification of networks and their representation by graphical symbols in computer-aided systems

Technical product documentation — Reference designation system — Part 1: General application rules |
ISO/TS 16952-1:2006 establishes comprehensive and practice-oriented principles and rules for the designation of technical objects within a system, as well as for the designation of connections, signals and documents in accordance with the corresponding basic standards.
The principles of ISO/TS 16952-1:2006 apply to all technical fields for all industries and can be applied in all phases of the life cycle of a technical object.
ISO/TS 16952-1:2006 serves as the basis for sector-specific parts of ISO/TS 16952 and thus forms the connecting element between them and the basic IEC 61346 series.
The designation of types, individuals, cost-centres, projects, etc. is not covered by ISO/TS 16952-1:2006.

Technical product documentation — Reference designation system — Part 10: Power plants |
ISO/TS 16952-10:2008 contains sector-specific stipulations for structuring principles and reference designation rules on technical products and technical product documentation of power plants.
It applies in combination with ISO/TS 16952-1, IEC/PAS 62400 and VGB B 101 for the classification of systems and objects, and for function-, product- and location-specific designation of technical products and their documentation for power plants.
It specifies the designation blocks for the clear identification and localization of the technical products, which are used for their labelling in the plant, for their designation in technical documents and for the designation of the technical documents as well.
ISO/TS 16952-10:2008 encompasses the process of energy conversion. The specifications in ISO/TS 16952-10:2008 apply for the power plant process, for the primary energy supply and final products distribution, as well as for auxiliary media and auxiliary energy supply, waste materials and waste energy disposal.
ISO/TS 16952-10:2008 is not applicable to recovery of the primary energy and the media for supplying the process, nor to the processing of residues from process disposal (e.g. gypsum, slag products, waste water, etc.).
